Hyster Empty Container Handler – fast, flexible and reliable
When time is of the essence, you need the fastest machine available. This is especially true for empty container handling. The Hyster H16-22XM-12EC series empty container handlers offer the fastest handling speeds and maximum flexibility, handling both single and double containers.
Hyster’s series of empty container handlers consists of several models, for single and double container handling. The single empty container handlers are capable of stacking standard 20’, 30’, 40’ and 45’ ISO containers up to 7-high. Excellent features
All models of the Hyster H16-22XM-12EC series share some excellent features, such as lifting speeds up to 0.51 m/sec, a rear mounted cab for a comfortable view angle during high stacking and a tropical cooling package for working in ambient temperatures of up to 50°C. These machines are exceptionally stable with a weight of 32 to 36 tons, a wheelbase of 4.0 or 4.5 m, and a width of 4.12 m.
The H16-22XM-12EC series is equipped with a Cummins 6.7 liter Diesel engine conforming to strict EC Tier 3 emission regulations. It has a 3-speed auto-shift transmission with protective lockout on forward-reverse shifting. The strong and wide AxleTech drive axle has oil-immersed (wet) disc brakes.
The series is equipped with side-lift 20’-45’ container spreaders, standard ‘reefer correction’ (+/- 600 mm sideshift movement) and twistlock indicator lights on the spreader and in the cab roof (not on ‘Suspended Hooks’ version). For safety, a mast over-lowering interrupt prevents the mast from being lowered further when the spreader is landed on a container. Lift is also interrupted if the twistlocks are not in a fully closed or open position.
The telescopic spreader is available in four different configurations:
– Vertical twistlocks
– Suspended hooks
– Hooks and side-clamps
– Double horizontal twistlocks
Powered Pile Slope function is optional. This provides additional hydraulic powered sideways articulation of the spreader, with +/- 6 degrees, on top of the normal mechanical articulation.
The H16-22XM-12EC series offers various features to enhance operator comfort and safety. The cab is equipped with a fully adjustable, full suspension operator seat with high backrest. A newly designed joystick provides intuitive control of the mast lift, tilt and spreader operations.
For enhanced visibility, the cab is mounted as far as possible at the rear of the machine, giving an excellent view angle when stacking containers at high positions. Visibility is further improved by the ultra-wide mast, with 1260 mm between the inner channels.
